Fiji, one of the most popular seaside destinations in the South Pacific, has a lot on offer. Whether you’re on your Fiji honeymoon or are planning a fun family holiday, we have extensive experience designing Fiji Vacation Packages to suit different needs.
This is where you find the large international hotel chains- Sheraton, Sofitel, Hilton, SAS Radisson … which certainly come with a guarantee of quality. However, we wouldn’t suggest you spend your whole Pacific island holiday at Denarau as it’s mainly a useful place to stay before or after spending time on one of the offshore island chains, which have better beaches and offer a more legitimate Fijian experience.
The Mamanuca Island group is the closest archipelago to the main island of Viti Levu, and getting to them is relatively easy and affordable. The different islands also have accommodation options to suit everyone from families and honeymooners to accommodation that is exclusively for adults. We suggest sticking to one island as otherwise, you lose a lot of time in boat transfers. Each resort generally offers a range of paid activities like scuba diving and has complimentary kayaks and snorkel gear available for use as well as a swimming pool on site.
The services offered in the main resorts on the Yasawas Islands are more or less the same as in the Mamanucas, the major difference being their location, as they are north of the Mamanuca Islands so the boat transfer is longer, though floatplane and helicopter transfers are also possible to cut down on travelling time. These Islands are more exclusive so they’re ideal for anyone looking for true peace and calm.
Upon visiting Viti Levu in June 2016 we discovered unexpected natural beauty. If you’re looking for hiking opportunities or simply want to experience a real immersion in the life of a Fijian village, then we’d highly recommend spending a few days on Viti Levu before a seaside holiday on one of the smaller islands. It’s a very much more bona fide experience which contrasts with staying in the resorts.
